Journal: What’s Next with AI?

  The Future of AI in Teaching: A Personal Perspective Artificial intelligence (AI) is changing education in ways we never imagined. As a teacher, I’ve seen technology transform how we teach and learn, and AI is taking this even further. Based on the 2024 EDUCAUSE Horizon Report and my own experience, I see both immediate and long-term effects of AI in education. While AI offers exciting possibilities, it also brings challenges that we must handle carefully. AI’s Impact in the Near Future (2 – 5 years) In the short term, AI will be a helpful assistant, not a replacement for teachers. AI tools can take over tasks like grading, giving instant feedback, and creating lesson plans. This allows teachers to focus more on engaging with students and personalizing learning.
