Week 02 – The ABCD Learning Objectives Framework and Effective Web Searching (Reflection 2)
In this module, I had chance to learn about the search engines and the ABCD objectives framework, both of which are really useful and necessary for my English teaching activities.
At first, we were required to read some materials suggested by Ms. Lan Huong about web searching, then we had a discussion task on Canvas to share effective websites that we know, I myself have been using Slide Share, BBC.com, You Tobe, Busyteacher,..And now, thanks to my classmates’ sharing I can know more effective websites and I found many of them really helpful such as Microsoft Bing, Google Scholar, Twinkl.com, Bamboozle etc. Surely, I will soon apply them into my teaching activities in the future.
Next, I entered canvas and read about “Writing learning Objectives” and joined the lesson on Zoom with our teacher and class. We were required to write Class Description and ABCD Objectives for a specific teaching unit then share with group members in breakout Zoom. We took notes then shared our product. Each of us had different ideas and struggled to make clear everything. For me, I found this part quite confusing and tricky.
And when we came back to share on Zoom with teacher and class, listening to other groups’ sharing and some feedback from the teacher for each group, I knew that our group members misunderstood a little bit about the ABCD objectives. However, at the end of the lesson we could understand it well.
