Weekly Reflection - Internet In Language Teaching - Module 01: Creating an Academic Blog


During the 1st week of the "Internet in English Language Teaching" course, I had a chance to learn how to create an academic blog. We were advised to create a blog for ELT and I was quite excited about that. After reading the guidance from the teacher - Ms Lan Hường, I managed to finish all steps and successfully created my own blog 

 



On the first session with our teacher on Zoom class, I was allowed to work in group with 4 other friends who are also teaching in language centers like me. We discussed about what we did to create our blogs, our purposes of using blogs in language teaching and some difficulties we encountered while making blogs.
    


       All people in our group one by one sharing opinion & experience about creating blogs and I found that I learnt a lot of interesting information from them. Thanks Group 5's members!

    Hi Chi Nhung. It is nice to read your first week reflection. I love the way you include photos in your journal, which makes it more friendly and engaging to read and to follow the content. In breakout room session, I also work with four other members and we support each other to manage the task and have actively discussion. I am sure that we can share and learn from our classmates in the upcoming lessons.

Reflection on Final Project

Teaching and learning is an process that require the interaction between a teacher and students. With the development of the technology, this process will surely be affected in the future. For teachers, teaching with technology can deepen students’ learning by supporting instructional objectives. Whereas, students can already learn from their own even without the assistance of their parents and teachers. They are just going to surf the internet in order to look for the lessons they need to study. They will choose what they want to learn. Quick accessibility and well-equipped with the skills and knowledge in operating a computer would be very helpful for the students. Reflection Week 05 - Project based Learning and Rubrics

  Last week I learned Module 05: Project-based Learning and Rubrics which is one of the most interesting and meaningful modules to me as through the knowledge of this module, I have found one more useful way to evaluate my students – using Rubric! During the week I had read required document sent on Canvas by my lecture – Ms Lan Hường then I joined the Discussion forum to read and discuss with my class members about the topic “Assessment, rubric and project-based learning”. Next, I joined the RubiStar to create a rubric for an oral presentation. On the class meeting session on Zoom with my lecture, I share with my group members and listen to their sharing about the applying Rubric in our teaching lessons.
